The Tall Tea Tales
The Tall Tea Tales
As soon the clock ticks eight, he takes the turn right. By starting his vintage RX100, my best buddy Aditya reaches my home and gives the horn signal. Listening to it, I log off from my work and silently put my mobile & wallet into my empty pockets. Turn off the lights, slowly close the door. I tiptoed to get out of the home, quickly tie shoe lace and got down the stairs.
With a huge smile on our faces, we now commence our talks. Breeze opposing us, changing gears as waves, we keep talking. Not our emotions, neither problems nor achievements. The first decision to make is, where shall we go?
Feels like a million-dollar question, after heating up with brain-storming. We conclude to have that one intake, which feels like Elixir!! Internationally renounced as “Chai”. With no further delay, we hit our brakes at Niloufer. Leaving the handle lock open, we made steps into. Standing in the line, within minutes our turn arrived and the server said “Sir, order please”, me and Aditya looked at each other's faces, stylishly removing wallets from pocket. Took out the exact change for 2 cups, and now ordered with a high pitch! “Bhai, 2 Chai” (Brother, 2 Chai).
[Whirring of a printer]
Grabbing our bill, we moved to the next counter, repeating the same. But, with additional dialogue. “Bhai! 2 Chai, kadak banao”. (Brother! 2 Chai, make it strong). Collecting the tray and standing on a table. Now begin the talks, which take birth from our batchmates, then grow up till clouds by crossing making streams like politics, country’s development, cars, bikes, money, business ideas, studies, memes, memories, trip plans, festive plans, family updates and many more. In between, we also take a peek at girls around us. Not so easily, but using the geometry angle codes. It's called Unstoppable. Don’t know how we get a lot to talk, every time we meet. I sometimes feel, even people in love don't have that much. Yet, we both keep on talking. Why?
Since, I believe he’s the only one who can understand my thoughts and vice versa. Since, we don’t judge each other but support every sentence in all moments, even though we have the same mindset. We choose various paths during talks. But surprisingly, we land at the same conclusion with a healthy negotiation. More than a friend, we built a brawny bond. He accompanies me in all the situations where he can; family functions, school, college, tuition, bike rides, fights, trips, meals, festivals, ideas, decisions, plans, success and the main one is failure. That's maybe the charm of our more than a decade friendship. Having such a person beside you feels like bliss.. One thing which surprises you is, we both never thanked each other. Instead we say “Right Bhai” and leave. Coming back, our tea talks end with our phones ringing. Mom’s call us, not to ask where we are, but to confirm where we are planning our dinner. Then putting our empty cups in, we get back home with a stress free time.
I’m sure, each of us has such a friend with whom we feel free to share everything and get relieved. If you are connected with this!! Don’t forget to share this story with that one best buddy. Because, they’re always beside you, to share and understand !!.
